Could we get an enemy collaboration for Helldivers 2 in the future? According to Pilestedt, there is a chance for a “limited event” style of collaboration. We have already seen one collaboration with Helldivers 2 and Killzone that added multiple armor sets to the game. Now, some are wondering if we could see one of the enemy factions in Helldivers 2 get a collab. The enemies may “remain intact” but that doesn’t mean there couldn’t be a “limited event.”
Many have been asking about future collabs since Helldivers 2 did its first collaboration with the Killzone franchise. While CEO Jorjani agreed that the team “missed the mark,” the collaboration was received fairly well. Recently, CCO Pilestedt also drew the line for future collaborations and it falls between Warhammer 40k and Halo.
Helldivers 2 CCO talks future enemy collabs
Pilestedt has been very active on his X account lately, sharing his thoughts about DLC, collabs, and more. In a recent post, one fan asked Pilestedt, “You Always talk of collab for Helldivers but what about enemies? Is there a chance we can see a collab as part of a new enemy within an existing faction?” We could easily see The Flood from Halo or even the Tyranids from Warhammer 40k being added to the game.
To this, Pilestedt responded, “No, the enemy foes need to remain intact… or well, I guess we could do a time-limited event at some point – but not a focus rn [right now].”
According to Pilestedt, there is a chance that we could see a collaboration with the enemies of Helldivers 2 in the future for a limited time. This type of event would most likely be free for all players since Pilestedt has stated that they will never “put enemies or gameplay behind a paywall.” Of course, this event won’t happen for some time as Arrowhead has more important tasks to focus on at the moment.
