Sony is in the process of creating various movies based on its IPs including Horizon but one that came as a surprise to many is the upcoming Helldivers movie. While some are nervous about the movie venture, others are notably excited to see the franchise dive onto the big screen. Arrowhead has already confirmed it won’t have much involvement in the project but Helldivers 2 CEO Shams Jorjani wants to see “as many A-list actors as possible” get “killed violently” in the movie. Fans have also shared their thoughts on which actors should bite the dust in the upcoming film.
While some are discussing the upcoming movie, the devs at Arrowhead are discussing ways to further increase the game’s difficulty for those who want a greater experience. There has also been talk about adding the ability to save loadouts.
Helldivers 2 CEO talks about upcoming movie
Jorjani has been spending much time talking to the fans and letting them know his thoughts on the game as well as other projects that are in the works. Recently, a post of his from the Discord server was published on Reddit by user Chance-Juggernaut14. The post, seemingly deleted from the Discord server, says, “We’re all hoping for as many A-list actors as possible – as long as they all get killed violently immediately.” This was said in response to someone requesting that Chris Pratt not appear in the upcoming movie.
Many A-list actors have appeared in video game adaptations in recent years with Chris Pratt appearing in the Super Mario Bros. movie, Tom Holland as Nathan Drake in Uncharted, Jim Carrey as Dr. Eggman in Sonic, and a slew of horrible A-list actor choices for the Borderlands movie that ended terribly.
In the comments, fans did not shy away from stating which actors they would like to see bite the dust in the upcoming film. One user stated, “Movie starts with the Hollywood power couples The Rock and Kevin Hart, Tom Holland and Zendaya; they die within seven minutes on Mavelon. We then follow John Helldiver, Body type B, Body type A, and Body type B in a suicide rescue mission.” Another user suggested that they would love to see Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad kill a Bile Titan while screaming “Yeah, B*tch!” One serious suggestion was to bring in the actors from the original Starship Troopers movie to take on the role of veteran Helldivers.
