Many players want cross-progression from games nowadays. This allows them to play a game they love on one console and pick up where they left off on another console if they own a second copy of the game. For a while now, cross-progress has been a wishlist item for Helldivers 2 players. Well, it could be implemented according to CEO Shams Jorjani who admitted the feature is “on the wishlist” of items Arrowhead plans on implementing.
Recently, Shams Jorjani talked about the potential of future crossover events, saying that Games Workshop wants to get involved with Helldivers 2. A developer from Arrowhead also stated that the next collaboration is “in the very early stages.”
Helldivers 2 cross-progression is “on the list”
Helldivers 2 CEO Shams Jorjani has been answering questions periodically on the game’s Discord server. Recently, fans have been asking for updates on various game features as well as some glitches and bugs that have been affecting gameplay. One fan decided to ask Jorjani about the idea of cross-progression in Helldivers 2 saying, “Do you know anything about the game getting cross-progression?”
Shams responded by saying, “It’s on the wishlist.” Of course, this isn’t very specific so when asked for clarification, Jorjani stated, “We are aware of the ask. It’s on a list. One day we might do it.”

Cross-progression is something that Helldivers 2 players have been asking about for a while so it is hard to imagine that it isn’t higher on the list of features Arrowhead wants to implement. We already know major changes are coming to the game as shown by the change in the Terminid thanks to the Gloom. Arrowhead has been hard at work implementing everything that the players want which includes a weapon customization system that has been leaked multiple times by various leakers online. We will just need to wait and see what features get implemented first.
