Helldivers 2 has already done a crossover with Killzone and it went fairly well. Many players love the armor sets from the collab and have been asking for more. While there have been notions that a new crossover event was coming, nothing has been confirmed. Until now, that is. One of the Helldivers 2 devs admitted that the team is “in the very early stages” of a new crossover event.
Recently, a chainsword was leaked from the Helldivers 2 files. This eluded to a potential Warhammer crossover as the chainsword is a major weapon in the series. CEO Jorjani also previously admitted that Games Workshop wants to collaborate with the Helldivers 2 team.
Helldivers 2 collab in the “very early stages”
Recently, Helldivers 2 dev Sephez, has been responding to many fan inquiries on the Helldivers 2 Discord server. One of the biggest questions asked is if the team has “any future crossover events planned.” Surprisingly, instead of saying that nothing was in the works or remaining vague by telling the fans that they would have to ‘wait and see,’ Sephez responded by saying, “We’re in the very early stages of something new.”

As far as collaborations go, we can rule out some major franchises as Pilestedt once drew the line on where the collaborations would end. This means we will never see collabs with Master Chief from the Halo series or Lightsabers pulled from the Star Wars universe. However, some major franchises could work such as Alien, Warhammer 40k, and Halo: ODST.
While we wait for another collaboration, Helldivers need to focus on the Gloom which has now made its appearance. This phenomenon is mutating the Terminid and it must be investigated, so get your gas-resistant armor on and pray you don’t fall victim to the Gloom. We will most-likely hear more about a potential collab in the near future.
