Weapon customization is something that Helldivers 2 players have wanted for a long time. After all, who wouldn’t want the ability to pick and choose what attachments are on their weapons? Well, this system appears to be improving as time goes on and now, a leak has shown exactly what the UI for the weapon customization system in Helldivers 2 will look like when it finally gets added.
After showcasing the weapon customization system originally, popular leaker IronS1ghts went on to show that the system was “being worked on.” A month later, the same system appears to have even more added to it, showing that it could be added in a future update.
Helldivers 2 weapon customization UI details
In a recent leak, IronS1ghts on X revealed more about the weapon customization system in Helldivers 2. In the first post, IronS1ghts stated, “I managed to get more of the attachment UI to display,” along with a video showcasing it. The video shows them going through the menu and looking at various items such as “Ripper” and plasma ammo types, a silencer, laser sight with flashlight, iron sights, holographic sights, a hair trigger, and a weapon skin.
The image in the second post shows the more unique UI for the weapon customization system as the first one was made utilizing the helmet menu and adding the attachments.
If you are wondering if there is a limit to the attachments you can put on a weapon, IronS1ghts has answered this question. In a response to the post, IronS1ghts stated, “Right now it seems like the type of attachments you can equip is limited by the weapon you choose.” They then go on to list the most common attachments are “optic, muzzle, magazine, and weapon skin.” There is still no information about when this system will be added to Helldivers 2 but the leak does show that thought is being put into it so we could see it in a future update.
