The first anniversary of Helldivers 2 is soon, and there is no telling how the galactic war could change. We could see major shifts in activity of each of the factions, but the one we are focused on today is the Terminids. A recent leak shows that this faction could be getting ready to make a big move – the kind that destroys planets. The latest Helldivers 2 leak shows an urban environment that the Terminid have ravaged. Be prepared, soldier, for there may be another escalation in the war.
Shortly before the game’s anniversary, Helldivers 2 CCO Pilestedt announced he is taking a sabbatical. Still, he will return to celebrate the anniversary with the team, even if it means that he won’t be helping with the game. Access to the game was also restored to over 30 countries on the ban list.
The Terminid make their way to Super Earth
Recently, well-known leaker IronS1ghts shared an image on their X account. As stated in the caption, the image is an “urban environment for bugs.” Spores hang in the air and smoke rises in the background over what appears to be a Terminid nest. It is a bleak and ominous image, but it could become a reality.

Another leak by IronS1ghts revealed more information about possible upcoming Terminid units. These new units include:
- Predator Hunter
- Predator Stalker
- Spore Burst Hunter
- Spore Burst Warrior
- Spore Burst Scavenger
With more Terminid enemy types inbound, we could see a rise in their forces, allowing them to expand their reach on the galactic map and attack Super Earth colonies. This could lead to us battling the bugs in urban environments like the original leak suggests. A final leak from IronS1ghts shows a planet being destroyed. It is unclear whether this will be our doing or if it is the cause of one of our foes but it feels connected to the possible rise in Terminid activity.
